“Lake Burley Griffin Sea Scouts is very grateful to the Geoffrey Evans Trust for its generous support in providing funding for our new Brig MT 380 rescue boat Marion (named after Marion Mahony Griffin whose genius helped create Canberra's city plan). Marion is essential in ensuring the safety of our Cubs, Scouts and Venturers in their aquatic adventures on Canberra's lakes and further afield with sailing competitions in Sydney. Without the Trust's help, our Group would have found it very difficult to replace our old safety boat. The Trust does great work in promoting and supporting marine safety and education for young Australians. Thank you so much for your support!”
